Jollybuoy Island/ Redskin Island

• Jolly Buoy Island Andaman: 
• Location: Approximately 30 kilometers southwest of Port Blair.
• Features: Known for its crystal-clear waters, pristine white sandy beaches, and rich coral reefs. It offers stunning underwater views with a variety of corals and marine species.
• Activities: Snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides, and scuba diving are popular here. The island is a no-plastic zone, and visitors are not allowed to carry any plastic items.
• Access: The island is open to tourists only during certain months of the year due to its ecological sensitivity. It requires a permit, and boats to the island depart from Wandoor Beach, about 25 kilometers from Port Blair.

Red Skin Island:

• Location: Also located within the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, about 30 kilometers southwest of Port Blair.
• Features: Similar to Jolly Buoy, it is known for its coral reefs, white sandy beaches, and clear waters. The island also has a mangrove ecosystem that supports various marine life.
• Activities: Snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides, and swimming are popular activities. The island is often chosen as an alternative to Jolly Buoy when it is closed to tourists.
• Access: Like Jolly Buoy, it is also accessible by boat from Wandoor Beach, and entry requires a permit.

Important Notes:

• Both islands are part of a protected marine park, so environmental regulations are strictly enforced to preserve the delicate ecosystem.
• Best Time to Visit: Generally, between October and May when the weather is favorable and the waters are clear.
